Thanks For Coming to the Show
Thanks to all of you who decided my postings were worth following. As of right now I am wrapping up this Tumblr project. I began Music Meeja as an assignment for class and well, spring term is over! Earlier today, several websites were leaking a new track from M.I.A. titled “Born Free”. As of right now, you’ll be lucky to find the track as most of them are being removed from sites. Freshlyground & Shakira FIFA Anthem
This is not intentional on my behalf, but Shakira is in the news again. The song by Shakira and South African band Freshlyground has been chosen as the official FIFA World Cup anthem. PiL in the US After 18 Years
Public Image Ltd kicked off their American tour last night at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. PiL reformed in the UK last fall and the LA show was the bands first show U.S. in 18 years. Elton John at the Chichen Itza Ruins this Weekend
Despite part of the stage collapsing, Elton John will still be performing this weekend in Mexico at the Chichen Itza ruins. On Thursday some of the upper lighting rails collapsed onto the stage injuring three workers, the worst had a broken leg.
